My work has been described as “nostalgic” as I work in a folk/primitive style with a light colour palette and I enjoy the aesthetic of old children’s book illustrations. I am inspired by the idea of childhood, the lives and deaths of pets, of small and private environments, and how the world around you changes as you grow up, how things start to look and feel different. My prints convey a bit of sadness as well as hope, as they deal with a love and respect for nature but are often subtly confrontational.
