I had a really great time at the show last year and I'm really looking forward to particpating again this coming weekend... I'll be in the same general area that I was last year (across from the horses) so please drop by and see me if you're in the neighbourhood!

This will be a first for me. I've done the Christmas equivalent for a couple years now and really enjoyed it so hopefully this will be a fun show!

I was commissioned by the Nature Conservancy of Canada to create these images which are now available in my etsy shop:
$5 of each purchase will be donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada which is an amazing organization which works for the direct protection of Canada's biodiversity through the purchase, donation or the placement of conservation agreements on ecologically significant lands.

I used gouache paints a few times in university but I never really got into them. Lately I've been seeing a lot of work in gouache and I've become kind of obsessed with it. Here is the first painting that I've made with a small set of gouache paints that I bought. The texture is so mat that it feels almost chalky, and the colours are really vibrant. I'm definitely going to be using these a lot in the near future.
The original painting on heavy cotton paper.
I'm really happy with the original so I'm unwilling to part with it (just yet) but I've made prints of the original available in my etsy shop. The prints are on heavy cardstock and the colours look great.
