Printmaking course

I'm very excited to be instructing a printmaking course starting February 2nd at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. The course will mostly cover the basics for linoleum printing for beginners. I'm excited to share my love (obsession, really) of printmaking with other printing nerds. I'm hoping to cover basic black and white printing, 2 and 3 colour printing, reduction printing and perhaps printing on fabric. The course runs for 6 weeks, every Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm.

If you are interested or know someone who is interested, here is the link to the course:

Valentine's Stuff

These little bears form a heart with their bellies when they are sitting beside each other. I have made custom bears in the past with initials stitched on the bellies. Here are these little fellows in my etsy shop.

This is the last print available in this tiny edition of 6. Here it is in the shop. SOLD! Thanks friends!

2010, Custom Portraits

I've started to do a lot of custom work and hope to do a lot more this year. I'm currently working on a custom baby announcement portrait (which I'll post soon) and recently I've worked on some custom pet portraits, pretty much my favourite thing to do. Click on any of the following images to see a larger version. Here are some kitties:

And here they are framed:

And some dogs:

If you're interested in commissioning a custom portrait of your pet, just send me an email.

Final show of the season

If you happen to be in the Port Hope, Ontario area this coming Saturday, December 12th, I'll have a table set up at the Christmas Farmer's Market. The show will run from 10 am to 4 pm in the Recreation Centre on McCaul Street. It will be a combination Farmer's Market/Arts Festival and should be a great show!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Winter Fling last Saturday. Here's my table...

My favourite part of every show is trading with the other vendors. Here are my scores...

This adorable little fella was made by Danielle of Stitch Face. Visit her etsy shop here.

And these amazing paper goods from Kid Icarus. Visit their website here.

I wanted to buy something from every single vendor that participated. Thanks to everyone at Winter Fling for organizing such an amazing show.

And gift tags...

Forgot to mention these in the last post. I have three designs available in a variety of colours...

The holiday season is here...

I've had a busy weekend, proof printing demo on Saturday at a very cool store in Toronto, Freedom Clothing Collective, (they are now carrying some of my cards!) and a craft show in Oshawa. So I've just now found the time to post pictures of my new holiday stuff, available in my etsy shop, as well as at the Winter Fling, A Craft Thing show this coming Saturday, December 5th, which is going to be a great show!

Here are all the wooden ornaments that I have available this season. Just added the cardinal...

And just click on the following links to purchase them in my etsy shop: cardinal, snowman, chickadee, polar bear, owl, rocking horse.

And here are some new holiday/winter cards:

Cats!

Inspired by my cat's many unique poses, most of which involve sleeping, here is a new notecard set available in my etsy shop.

Please stay tuned for a Christmas update, coming very soon. I've got new holiday cards, almost ready, and some new ornaments...
